Madge Adams White
When I was in my early twenties, mom located old photos of both of my grandmothers at the age of 21. I rendered burnt sienna colored pencil sketches of both and framed them in matching antique frames. Shown is my dad's mother Madge Adams White.

Pterodactyl
Does anyone remember why I came up with this stuffed pterodactyl? I remember designing and sewing him wayyy back in my college days for a certain project and haven't seen him since. I sewed several animals back then when I was experimenting with sculpture ideas. I had forgotten about this until finding pictures of various art projects I worked on back then.
Gypsy Rose
I had been out of high school a year or two and accepting art requests for all types of unrelated venues. A client asked if I could design a sign for their shoe store in Gatlinburg based on an art nouveau look and feel. When they were not satisfied with local woodcarvers to create the sign, I taught myself woodcarving and made the sign for them (it's the same on both sides). I can't remember how much money I made on this project (probably not much) but my craft skills progressed through the process.

Koala
Koala
In one of our letters sent home from Australia I designed this cut-out mask of a cute Koala. It was sent to friends, churches, and supporters. Somewhere we have a photo of someone wearing the thing mounted on cardboard and held with a wooden stick. Actual size was 11x17".
Moses and Sybil Delphica
Moses and Sybil Delphica
I don't have photos of much of my odd art but just found this of the mural I airbrushed on the dark wood paneling and interior door in our bedroom at the time. If I remember right, this was caricaturization from a couple of Michelangelo pieces, a Moses sculpture and a Sistine Chapel piece from the ceiling. I made up some unrelated color schemes to stand-out in the extremely dark corner. I had seen the originals of both on one of my trips to Italy some years ago and felt their proportions would fit the space well. I can only assume the new home owners whitewashed over this piece and changed the room around to their liking.
