Evangelizing and church growth only go hand-in-hand if the growth comes by reaching the lost. Unfortunately, in the United States over the past several decades, many of our huge 'mega churches' have grown through the influx of Christians who are unhappy in their present/previous church. There has been a huge jump-ship from boring traditional churches to exciting progressive churches. Those churches might also be strong in evangelizing, but it's not necessarily a given.

- In those wee hours of the morning; in those quiet, private times spent with the Lord; in those times of prayer and faithfully studying His word; that was when the Alpha & Omega Suite came to it's composer. This didn't happen instantaneously, but slowly and consistently over the course of nine years, beginning in 2000 and going through 2008. Accuracy to God's Word was more important than finishing the Suite quickly, which is a process that flies in contrast with the way things are normally done in our throw-away, media-centered culture. But, when dealing with the concept of God, it's important that our proclamation is based upon what He has revealed of Himself and not on the imaginations of fallen humanity.
