If reports; research; findings; and statistics fly in the face of what I believe or adhere to, then it must mean that my own personal view is incorrect, right?? Not necessarily. It just means I am challenged to look deeper into what I believe. Perhaps I am wrong… perhaps the source of the oppositional stats are wrong. By doing a little detective work, it’s often fairly simple to track-down possible, or obvious errors in how/why/where these findings are coming from.
I’ve noticed with this ‘information highway’ we rely on, there’s just about as much incorrect information as there is correct info. What’s alarming is how quickly people accept, quote, and believe every new ‘find’ which receives attention.
