Crime and Punishment

It never ceases to amaze how when you try to be lax and avoid administering punishment, the perpetrator so often assumes they haven't really done anything wrong. If for no other reason, punishment serves the important purpose that a crime has been committed, regardless the opinion of the lawbreaker on the matter.

Perhaps some punishment is too strict, but reality dictates that some form of punishment should always be handed-out for the offense.
