Often when we're hoping for snow, we get ice instead. The very nature of ice shuts things down as it does it's damage. When it's thick enough, cars can't drive, power lines fall, tree limbs break, and people aren't able to safely go many places. But it does look lovely as it glistens and sparkles everywhere.
