Clothed in Purple Linen

I sure hate to burst any bubbles, but contrary to what some might tell you, who we are IS a reflection of our ethics and overall character. It is NOT about who earns the most money; is the most famous; excels at their profession the greatest; displays the biggest ego; lives the most lavish lifestyle; or has the most power and prestige.

Those who "live fast, die young and leave a good-looking corpse", or those who "leave behind the most toys"... still are dead and gone! Now what?

On that day of accountability, when viewing the resume of a person's life, the door could easily be shut to the well-known high-achiever and be widely opened to the overlooked lowly one. What it all boils down to is one's attitude; honesty; integrity; humbleness; compassion; repentance; other-centeredness; teachability and usability TRUMPS self-gratifying achievements any old day... period!

Who wants to be neighbors with the rich man when instead they could reside with Lazarus?
(The answer is obvious to those who understand the significance. -L16.19)

PS: It was the rich man who was clothed in the purple linen.
