Five Generations

One thing about being in your 50s is you've had exposure/contact/intimacy with about five or six generations. I've noticed the gap between each successive generation is just a small sliver, but the difference (regarding what is acceptable and proper) between my grandparents and what would be their great, great grandchildren is enormous!

Media influence outside of family accounts for the main factor in this quickly increasing gap. There has never been a time in recorded history where the welcomed influences (not influences from conquerors)
has caused such a change in an individual's world view. Naturally, one's lifestyle; viewpoints; social acceptance, and social rejection are reflected as well.
