I normally have no trouble multitasking by watching TV, listening to music or radio, and playing other media while I work on another project. Well, there's one TV show which has the most irritating dialogue I've ever heard! I am unable to concentrate on anything else while it's on. The conversations are delivered at such a rapid pace, staccato, grating, high-speed no-breaths-taken nauseating delivery that I have to turn it off in order to get anything done.
Maybe the 'Gilmore Girls' has some other merits to it (I'm sure it does), but it's writers haven't done a very good job of listening to real-world conversations between people… at least none that I've been around.
