Scammed

When I receive an offer to purchase a thousand dollar so-and-so item for $29.95, I instantly send that email/mailer/ad straight to the trash. Do I trash it because it's a bad offer? No, it is destroyed because it's a false offer. I am being offered something that for all practical purposes is not what it seems on the surface. The goal of the sender is not to give me some incredible gift… their unstated agenda is to gain something from me that otherwise I would not give to them. They are attempting to whet my appetite with the super-super bargain which in the end I probably won't even end up with.

Their ploy has been used by hucksters from the beginning of time, and many have fallen prey to it.
