The toughest part of all is... are you disagreeing with me and calling me a liar, or are you disagreeing with Jesus; questioning Him; His instructions; and His authority? Jesus guaranteed His gospel would be offensive and rejected by the majority of people.
When I say something which you find troubling or disturbing, you owe it to yourself to study Christ's teachings to see first hand. No, disregarding the authenticity of scripture is not a valid option since it has been substantiated through various proofs and numerous validations with uninspired accounts historically questioned and rejected. And no, don't let some person be the authority on what God's Word says... let scripture speak for itself.
Let the words of Jesus speak for them self... and don't read into them what they don't say.
